I am an empowerment advocate, certified mentor, speaker, educator and author. I was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois where I earned her Bachelor’s degree in Education and my Master’s degree in Reading. I am also certified in Educational Leadership. I have served as a public school educator for over 20 years in various capacities. I am also the Founder and Director of Welcome 2 the Queendom, a non-profit organization that is dedicated to empowering young ladies.
I have dedicated my life to educating children and acting as an advocate on their behalf. I do that by empowering children, teens, and women with impactful information that they can apply to their lives. As a single mother of four boys, I juggled the responsibility of raising my boys, and educating at-risk students. My life's experiences and my passion for making a difference in the lives of children has “Pushed me into Purpose”. It has also enabled me to be successful in my quest to have a positive impact on the lives of youth and women. My desire is to empower others to be “Stretched to Greatness”.
I am the author of two children’s books which address relevant and relatable topics for children. I utilize what I've learned and what I know to empower women to live the life they desire. I speak publicly to adults and children alike on the importance of identifying their purpose, bullying, and leadership.
I am an avid reader, and I love to learn and share new ideas. In my free time, you will find me reading a book, in the gym working out, or working on my latest writing project.
